PlaySkin Duo

This shirt is designed for a two-year-old boy with hemiplegia, which is paralysis or severe weakness in one side of the body. It is an addition to the PlaySkin line developed by Dr. Michele Lobo, a collection of shirts and onesies that encourage the development of upper body gross and fine motor skills. Compressive panels at the bottom of the bodice and sleeves hold the garment in place, as does the thumb hole at the cuff of the sleeve. Elastic bands make moving the strong arm difficult, but not impossible; this allows the child to practice bilateral motor skills. This shirt's red and white colorblocking reflects its owner's love of Micky Mouse.
